Jean Maurice Eugène Clément Cocteau (KOK-toh, kok-TOH; French:[ʒɑ̃mɔʁisøʒɛnklemɑ̃kɔkto]; 5 July 1889 – 11 October 1963) was a French poet, playwright, novelist, designer, film director, visual artist and critic. He was one of the foremost avant-garde artists of the 20th-century and hugely influential on the surrealist and Dadaist movements, among others.[1] The National Observer suggested that "of the artistic generation whose daring gave birth to Twentieth Century Art, Cocteau came closest to being a Renaissance man".[2]

Marcel Khill, né le à Meulan et mort le à Réchicourt-le-Château[1], a été le compagnon de Jean Cocteau.
Biographie

En 1932, il rencontre Jean Cocteau dont il devient le compagnon pour plusieurs années.
En 1934, il crée le rôle du messager de Corinthe dans la pièce de Cocteau La Machine infernale. En 1936, il est à l'initiative du tour du monde en 80 jours qu'ils effectuent tous les deux et qui est relaté par Cocteau dans Mon Premier Voyage ; Khill y paraît sous le nom de Passepartout[2].
