Pascual Poblete
Si Pascual H. Poblete ay kinilalang mandudulang may maapoy na pagmamahal sa kalayaan ng bayan. Ginamit niya ang kanyang panulat upang gisingin ang damdaming makabayan ng mga Pilipino. Siya ay isinilang sa Naic, Cavite noong 17 Mayo 1858. Siya ay nagtapos ng Bachiller en Artes sa Liceo de Manila.
Dahil sa pagtatanghal ng kanyang dulang Amor Patria, siya at ang mayari ng tanghalang ginamit sa pagtatanghal ay nabilanggo, bagamat sila ay nakalaya rin. Siya ang nagtatag at naging patnugot ng pahayagang El Resumen. Ginamit niya ito upang tuligsain ang mga katiwalian at pang-aaping ginagawa ng mga makapangyarihang Kastila na siyang naging dahilan upang siya ay mausig at ipatapon sa Africa.

Filipino writer and linguist
Pascual H. Poblete (Filipino: Pascual Poblete Hicaro; May 17, 1857—February 5, 1921)[1] was a Filipino writer, journalist, and linguist, remarkably noted as the first translator of José Rizal's novel Noli Me Tangere into the Tagalog language.[2]
Poblete was well known for organizing the semi-clandestine short-lived earlier Partido Nacionalista which existed from August 28, 1901, until 1907. He was also a member of Unión Obrera Democrática Filipina, the first-ever labor union federation in the Philippines, and was one of the founding and pioneering members of the Philippine Independent Church.
He and Marcelo H. del Pilar founded in 1882 the Diariong Tagalog, the first bilingualnewspaper in the Philippines. He edited the Tagalog section while Marcelo H. del Pilar did the Spanish section. Poblete is popularly referred as the "Father of the Revolutionary Philippine Newspaper" and "Father of Tagalog Newspaper".
