A Ponte Vedra family that has been on the Dr. Phil show many times in the last six years is back on again, this time for counseling after one of their daughters was arrested.
The family is featured in a three-part series, the second installment of which airs Monday at 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. on WJXT-TV, Channel 4 in Jacksonville.
Lee Lockett, a Jacksonville attorney representing the Stehl family, said the show has been following the family since 2003. They've appeared on the show several times, and even been give the title "The Dr. Phil Family."
"Dr. Phil has invested a lot time into this family," Lockett said.
He said the family cannot comment on the show until after it has aired.
Lockett said the Stehls went back on the show because their younger daughter, Katherine, 19, was arrested in July.
She was arrested after she reportedly filed a false report to deputies that claimed someone burglarized a Nissan Pathfinder, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office. Stehl and three men were charged with filing the report in an attempt to steal jewelry from a 43-year-old woman, says the police report.
